The Members of Cwmdu Car Club
Cwmdu Car Club are confirmed as hosts of the 2010 BAS Round 2 to be held on June 19th/20th. Our sincere thanks to all the sponsors who have pledged support for this exciting event.
Those of you who have been to the Ovals race track before (we've been at the venue for 22 years), will probably be saying "They haven't got enough room" even though our normal pits and trailer park is over 8 acres and our spectating areas cover three and half sides of the track (which in itself is big - see our race track page). Well this is the point where we must thank our local landowner. Mr David Hutton for making available to us two adjacent fields for trailer parking (10Acres) and camping (20 Acres).
So we think you'll agree that space is not going to be one of our main concerns!
Any drivers wanting to try out our venue before the BAS round are welcome at our race meeting. (which looking in the fixture list doesn't clash with too many other events), so you can get some idea of how your car is going to perform on the big weekend.
See our race track page and scroll to map for details of how to find The Ovals, Lyonshall, Kington.
Cwmdu as a club is ready to celebrate it's GOLDEN JUBILEE MEETING for 50 years of autograss, and has over the years hosted many two day events which have attracted large numbers of competitors and spectators alike.
However we are the first to admit that a BAS round in it's current form is a whole different ball game, and requires a huge amount of organisation and effort from the host club or league. From this point of view all the cwmdu club members are prepared to do their very best, and whatever the outcome of the event may be, we all know that the whole club has done it's utmost to make June 19th & 20th 2010 a very successful weekend.
